That's just what we've been observing in the recent stormy months, but the streaming sea seems to be settling into a new pattern that will likely hang in there for a while. After a long season of anything and anyone goes, it would appear that those remaining in the streaming world will be 1) management organizing either infranet structure for within or content for without, 2) technical departments facilitating both, or 3) consumers and employees receiving and/or utilizing the technologies. That may in hindsight seem obvious, but a year ago, who knew?

Those that can, do, those that can't...well, that's not quite fair. But, the implied message of part one of our tour of WatchIT.com's educational program "Streaming Media Technologies" to be released this June was that if you've done it well, you can teach it. Furthermore, the need for drill sergeants to inculcate the basics of streaming into the host of non-coms in the corporate market who will be expected to use it is growing exponentially.
